Public Guided Tour (Thematic Exhibitions)

Thematic Exhibitions

Free guided tours of specific thematic exhibitions (Gallery 1 to 7) are available for visitors. For further details of the schedule and registration, please proceed to the G/F Information on the day of visit. The registration is on a first come, first served basis. Schedules are subject to change and cancellation without prior notice.

Public Guided Tour (Special Exhibitions)

Special Exhibitions

Paid guided tours for special exhibitions Gallery 8 & 9 are available for visitors. Visitors will be led by the docents to highlight key features of the specific exhibition. The tour takes about 45–60 minutes and available on a first come, first served basis.

Gallery 8 Bank of China (Hong Kong) Presents: “The Origins of Chinese Civilisation” Guided Tour

  • HK$300 per adult and HK$250 per concession#
  • Includes guided tour of Gallery 8 and Special Exhibition Admission Ticket (Gallery 1-7 and 8)

HKPM Friends and HKPM Patrons who possess a valid special exhibition admission code are only required to pay a guided tour fee of HK$200 per person.

Remark: # Concessions include children (age 7 to 11), full-time students, seniors (age 60 and above), persons with disabilities (with one companion), and CSSA recipients. Entry is free for children aged 6 and under (online booking and a valid Special Exhibition ticket or pass must be presented for admission to the Museum).

Group Guided Tour

Visitors will be led by docent from the Museum to participate in a 60 to 90-minute paid exclusive guided tour. Through interactions with docent and other participants, visitors can learn more about the historical, cultural, and artistic features of the treasures displayed in the Museum. For ticket purchase or enquiries about the guided tour service for groups, please fill in the online application form or call (852) 2200-5577 during 9am to 6pm from Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
