Frequently Asked Questions – HKPM Membership

General Membership information

 

You can sign up online. Once signed up and after payment processed, your membership will be effective and you will receive a confirmation email with a temporary QR code for admission.

Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, JCB, Alipay, AlipayHK, and WeChat Pay.

 

Once you have registered as a Member and the payment has been processed, your membership will be effective. Membership activation is only required for gift membership purchased by someone else.

 

With the launch of eMembership, physical membership cards and vouchers will no longer be issued. Members can access their eMembership cards, digital admission codes, and other membership benefits on the WestK mobile app. Please log in to your MyWestK account and visit the “Member” section.

 

All memberships last for twelve months starting from the date of purchase (except for Combo membership). For example, if your membership starts on 1 July 2023, it will be valid until 30 June 2024.

 

Yes, regardless of where you are, you can always become a HKPM Friend or Patron. To join, please visit our Membership page.

 

Yes, please bring along your valid identification document such as HKID card or passport for verification at your first visit to the HKPM. If you are a full-time student, please bring your student ID card or other proof that you are in full-time education.

 

All exhibitions at the HKPM galleries are free to HKPM Patrons. For HKPM Friends, simply show your membership card for free admission to Galleries 1 to 7; to access Gallery 8 or 9, you are required to present a Special Exhibition admission voucher or voucher code for a single entry, or purchase a top-up ticket inside the Museum.

 

You can update your profile by logging in to your MyWestK account (your email address cannot be changed). To request assistance, please contact [email protected].

 

You can simply open the WestK mobile app, log in to your MyWestK account and use your eMembership card in the “Member” section for admission. If you are still using a physical membership card, please visit our membership counter on LG/F to verify your identity for admission to the Museum.

 

You may reset your password by entering your registered email address after clicking “Forgot Password” on the account login page. If you cannot remember your registered email address, please contact [email protected].

No, the membership fee is not tax deductible.

 

No, we do not have a Members’ lounge, but we have different food and beverage outlets offering a wide range of options. HKPM Friends and Patrons also enjoy discounts at these outlets.

 

HKPM memberships are non-transferable.

 

You may renew your membership for another year anytime during your membership period (except on the first day of purchase). For more details on membership renewals, please email us at [email protected].

Membership Benefits

 

All Members enjoy discounts at the gift shop (10% off for both HKPM Friends and Patrons) and restaurants (10% off for HKPM Friends and up to 20% off for HKPM Patrons) at the Museum, and many other benefits (terms and conditions apply).

 

You can download the WestK app on your mobile phone, log in to your MyWestK account, go to the “My Voucher” tab under the “Member” section, you will then find all the vouchers you are entitled to (click here for more details on accessing your digital membership card and admission voucher codes). Select the appropriate voucher and tap the “Redeem Now” button, then show the voucher QR code to our staff for admission.

 

All eMembership cards and digital vouchers of Family – Youth Members can be found on the WestK mobile app under the adult accounts of the same Family membership. The Family – Youth Member needs to be accompanied by an adult Member under the same Family membership, showing the eMembership card or appropriate voucher codes for entry to the Museum or special exhibitions.

 

Members who joined before the launch of eMembership can still use their physical Special Exhibition admission vouchers during their membership, as well as the eMembership card on the WestK app after logging in to the MyWestK account for Museum and gallery admission.

 

The HKPM Friends membership card is for the Member’s admission only. Only Patrons can bring 3 guests within the same day.

 

Each Special Exhibition admission voucher allows HKPM Friends to visit Galleries 8 and 9 once and is for the Member’s own use only. No reservation is required. Proof of identity or age may be required at the entrance during admission.

 

With the launch of eMembership, all new Members will be entitled to Special Exhibition admission voucher codes for entry of Galleries 8 and 9 respectively. These codes are for the Member’s own use only. No reservation is required. Proof of identity or age may be required at the entrance during admission. HKPM Patrons can bring up to three guests to our thematic and special exhibitions for free during museum opening hours.
