Professor Raymond Fung Wing Kee

Professor Raymond Fung Wing Kee is a renowned architect, designer, and ink artist. He has been recognised as one of Hong Kong’s top ten outstanding designers and has received the Hong Kong Institute of Architects Annual Design Award five times. In 2011, he was appointed a Justice of the Peace.

In recent years Professor Fung has explored universal values through abstract paintings. His aim has been to foster public awareness of global environmental and social issues. His artistic works have been exhibited worldwide and are included in the collections of M+, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, the Guangdong Museum of Art, the National Art Museum of China, the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, and other institutions. Professor Fung actively works to advance education, museums, and community initiatives in Hong Kong. He was a member of the Hong Kong Palace Museum Board and currently serves as a museum expert adviser to the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Mr Wu, Chie Hong

Mr Wu grew up in Hong Kong. During his early years, he received training at the Social Work Training College (the predecessor of the Department of Applied Social Sciences, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University). He also attended the Hong Kong International Art School, where he specialised in Western painting, and excelled in photography and seal carving. As a registered social worker, he has held numerous community positions with lifelong commitment to social welfare.

Mr Wu's father, Mr Wu Cho Bun (1897–1942), was a renowned painter of the Lingnan School of Painting. To promote his father's artistic achievements and patriotic spirit as well as to fulfill his mother’s wishes, Mr Wu has generously donated his father's artworks to the Hong Kong Palace Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Macau Art Museum, the Shunde Museum in Foshan City, the Palace Museum, Taipei, the Royal Ontario Museum in Canada, among other institutions. He has also organised several exhibitions featuring his father's works.

Mr Frederick H M Lam

Mr Frederick H M Lam is an experienced Hong Kong-based solicitor with over forty years of experience in the legal field. He was a student of Yang Shen-sum (1913–2004), a second-generation master of the Lingnan School of Painting. In addition to his artistic pursuit, he has built his own significant collection of modern Chinese paintings.

Mr Yuen-kit Szeto

Former Chief Curator, Hong Kong Museum of Art

Mr Yuen-kit Szeto holds a BEd in Art Education, an MPhil in Chinese Art History, and a diploma in museum studies. He was formerly a curator and subsequently chief curator at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, specialising in Chinese painting and calligraphy collections. His research mainly covers Chinese paintings in the Ming and Qing dynasties and in the twentieth century, as well as art education. During his time at the Hong Kong Museum of Art, Mr Szeto organised several major exhibitions of ancient Chinese painting and calligraphy, as well as a series of exhibitions on twentieth-century masters. He has hosted a number of Chinese art appreciation programmes and documentaries on the radio and television. Also an Academic Committee Member of the Wu Guanzhong Art Research Center, Tsinghua University, a researcher of the Beijing Fine Art Academy, and a senior fellow of the J. S. Lee Memorial Fellowship Programme, Mr Szeto has received a Medal of Honour and Chief Executive's Commendation for Government/Public Service from the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region for his contribution in promoting the art of ink painting and calligraphy.

Dr Wanzhang Zhu

Dr Zhu obtained his B.A. in History from Sun Yat-sen University and his Ph.D. in Art History from Chinese National Academy of Arts. Dr Zhu has curated numerous exhibitions, including “Tranquil Waters and Distant Mountains: The Art of the Xin'an Painting School, ” “Bird-and-Flower Paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ” and “Figure Paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. ” A prolific author, Dr. Zhu has published a number of books, such as Summer Leisure and Playthings during the Qing Dynasty: Studies Centered on the History of Painting and Calligraphy Connoisseurship, Outside the Paintings: Notes on Painting and Calligraphy Connoisseurship and Collecting from the Ming and Qing Dynasties to the Present, Following My Preference: Painting and Calligraphy Connoisseurship and Art History Research, and In Response to Objects: An Alternative Perspective on Bird-and-Flower Paintings of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
