The ink stream gracefully dances in the water, creating a mesmerising display. As the ink forms a circular shape on the surface of the water, it drops, one by one, shaping an ever-changing and delicate wave texture. The rhythm of the brush’s tip swinging varies, at times neat and at times elongated, causing the ink to flow between sharp edges and giving rise to different ripples. Carefully, a pattern is gently pulled out from the water using a bamboo stick. Finally, a sheet of rice paper is placed on the surface of the water, and as it is lifted, the painting is magically transferred onto the paper, completing the artwork in an instant.
During the workshop, participants will immerse themselves into the creation process and explore the various possibilities of creating ink flow trace works. It is an opportunity to unleash your creativity and embrace the experimental spirit behind the artistic journey.
