Lee Yee Mei is an ink painter based in Hong Kong. She has been working in art and education industries for 40 years. She is currently an art director, founder of an art education institution and the Honorary president of the Canadian Chinese Art Association. She was a visiting lecturer at Shaoguan University. Other involvements include the honorary president of the International Art Federation for Cultural Access, the Vice President of the Hong Kong Pet Love Association, the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Calligraphy and Painting Association and researcher of the Jin Zijing Art Research Institute.
Lee’s works were exhibited in Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland (Nanjing, Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shaoxing, Kaiping, Guangzhou and many more). Her works are collected by banks, medical groups, law firms, galleries and private collections.
Lee has won a great number of awards and her works have been highly praised internationally. She has a lot of faith in paintings. Under continuous refinement, she keeps learning, keeping up with the initial enthusiasm for what she wants to know, and swims freely in the world of painting. In recent years, her ‘Whispers of the Heart’ series has showcased a distinct personal style.
