Sponsored by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, HKPM SHOWTIME! is presented in collaboration with top-tier performing arts organisations and artists, with the aim of introducing the HKPM to new audiences.

Through the mediums of music, dance, theatre, and more, the performances will bring to life the opening of the Museum, as well as topics related to Chinese art, history, and the dialogue between different cultures.

December 11: Music Tells: East and West, by Hong Kong Gaudeamus Dunhuang Ensemble

Is it possible to bring out the best of both Eastern and Western musical conventions in one composition? How do composers perceive the musical characteristics of the East and the West? How should the audience approach and appreciate these contemporary creations?

Through a series of music performances, the audience will explore the fusion of Eastern and Western aesthetics and its future development.

Free performance tickets will be distributed at 12:30pm at the Palace Academy (LG) to the visitors with HKPM admission tickets on December 11 (Sunday).
