Chinese Calligraphy Masterclass—Running Script

Join the Palace Academy’s calligraphy workshop and experience the beauty of running script!

You will study the Tang masterpiece Copy of the Orchid Pavilion Preface in Running Script attributed to Feng Chengsu and practise different brushstrokes. This workshop includes:

  • A demonstration of running script by an experienced calligraphy artist,
  • an in-depth look at Copy of the Orchid Pavilion Preface in Running Script attributed to Feng Chengsu and the techniques employed, and
  • a guided session to create your own calligraphic work on a paper fan.
