Hong Kong Palace Museum

The Palace Academy provides a series of masterclasses for enthusiasts of Chinese painting and calligraphy.

The workshop aims at giving participants a deep understanding of the techniques used to produce many of the masterpieces on display in the Museum’s galleries. In learning more about these techniques, participants will broaden their knowledge of art and unleash their creative potential. The workshop includes:

a demonstration of Chinese calligraphy
an in-depth study of selected artworks under the guidance of an experienced artist

The workshop will focus on one masterpiece of Chinese calligraphy each month. Enthusiasts of all levels are welcome to join.

With the workshop ticket, each participant can also access our thematic exhibitions (Galleries 1 to 7) on the event day.
Please enter the Museum through the priority lane at the main entrance. For any changes to the arrangement, please refer to the information in the Museum on the day of the event.
Please arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the workshop begins for registration and admission.

If hoisted three hours before the event starts, the event will be suspended. Rescheduling or refund arrangements will be announced in due course.

The Hong Kong Palace Museum reserves the right to reschedule or cancel events with or without refunding participants.
