Of Chinese origin, blue-and-white porcelain is famous around the world and characterised by its underglaze blue decoration on a white surface; golden cardboard is a highly decorative material for traditional Chinese painting, especially gongbi painting, where the ink and gold complement each other to create a sumptuous visual effect. In this workshop, participants will use the gongbi technique to draft their blue-and-white porcelain patterns and then present them on the gold cardboard with line work and flat colouring.
The workshop is recommended for participants aged 10 or above.
