Ink art does not pursue physical resemblance of objects but pays attention to the artistic conception as well as the dynamics of stillness and movement. Traditional Chinese painting uses ink and calligraphic lines to express humanistic values, while abstract ink art unveils the aesthetics of ink in visual form, from the search of the rhythmic beauty of ink itself to the spiritual and philosophical explorations.
In this abstract ink painting workshop, participants will use brushes, ink, and paper to create delicate and richly layered paintings to express different moods. Participants will experience the long-established art form and give full play to its infinite creativity.
Children under age 7 must be accompanied by an adult (maximum one adult per child; no extra ticket is required for the accompanying adult).
