With delicate brushstrokes and precise depiction of figures, Tang Yin's masterpiece The Tree in the Wind conveys profound emotions through its simple, yet expressive brushwork.

By copying this masterpiece from “The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Stories Untold — Figure Paintings of the Ming Dynasty from the Palace Museum” in Gallery 4, our workshop will guide you to explore and appreciate the unique ways of figure paintings in the Ming dynasty , following Tang Yin's techniques.

This workshop includes:

  • A demonstration by the experienced calligraphy artist Dr Chui Pui Chee.
  • In-depth understanding of brushwork and the art of concise expression.
