Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra

Acclaimed as a leading force in the world of traditional Chinese music, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra frequently performs at world-famous venues and international festivals. Its award-winning track record in the arts, governance and administration, education, and marketing and promotion has placed it in a leading position among full-sized Chinese music ensembles in the international arena. Recently, the orchestra’s Eco-Huqin series received praise from various institutions for its eco-conscious and innovative concepts.

Jacqueline Leung

Hong Kong pianist Jacqueline Leung is praised for her “musicality, intelligence and technical finesse”. She, has collaborated with top musicians and performed in festivals and concerts across the world. Jacqueline is a laureate of the Antena 2 prize from the national classical music radio station in Portugal and has also been featured as a solo artist in the “Our Music Talents” Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of Hong Kong.

As a versatile pianist, she is active in her career performing, teaching, adjudicating, examining and recording. She has released three solo albums, and her tracks have been featured in Apple Music’s New In Classical and Minimalism playlists. With a passion for chamber music from her early teens, Jacqueline is a founding member of the Phoenix Quartet, an all-female piano quartet actively contributing to Hong Kong’s chamber music scene. She also has extensive experience in conducting masterclasses that have helped her students achieve frequent prize wins at competitions. She also makes regular appearances on radio and TV programmes. She currently serves as a music diploma examiner for Trinity College London and is a recording artist for Karma Sounds.

Michael O’Donnell

As a classically-trained flautist, Michael has enjoyed a versatile and international career. Performing professionally in the roles of orchestral principal, chamber musician and soloist, concert appearances have taken him to renowned venues across the U.K., Europe and Asia.

In 1997, Michael was awarded a Foundation Scholarship from London’s Royal College of Music. Following graduation, Michael undertook numerous freelance performances and overseas tours with orchestras including the Philharmonia, Bournemouth Symphony, National Symphony and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.

Moving to Hong Kong in 2003, Michael held the position of Principal Flute with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Macau Orchestra respectively. Besides his current teaching and performing commitments, Michael is an examiner for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. He is also the ABRSM Regional Development Consultant for Hong Kong and Macau.

The Hong Kong Inter-School Choir

The Hong Kong Inter-School Choir (HKISC) was established in 2021 as an extension programme of the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival. HKISC aims to train the next generation of choral leaders by increasing students' confidence, honing leadership skills, and building a collaborative team spirit. It also provides young people with opportunities to give back to society and serve the community. Given a full choral scholarship, all members of HKISC are nominated by their respective schools as student representatives and are chosen through a series of auditions. In addition to regular performances, HKISC actively participates in charity performances, collaborating with various organisations such as the Hong Kong Children's Hospital, the Children's Cancer Foundation, the Hong Kong Society for the Aged, the Child Development Matching Fund, and the New Sight, encouraging students to serve the community.

Hong Kong Circus

Hong Kong Circus aspires to create unique, original circus performances for the Hong Kong public by harmonizing contemporary circus, visual arts, theatrical and dance elements. Their work draws inspirations from local culture and humanistic stories that audiences resonate with and reflect upon its notion.

Other than performances, Hong Kong Circus also conduct Artist Exchange Programmes and public workshops to fortify the potentials of local performers and to cultivate interest in circus arts.
