Musical Navigation, by Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra Percussion Ensemble

Let your imagination roam free! A delightful music and art show is coming to the Museum.

Chinese percussion instruments have a long history and a wide variety, playing an indispensable role in the historical context of the Chinese civilisation. The Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra will match works of Chinese art with selected tunes and take you on an immersive, multi-sensory cultural journey.

Pianist Jaqueline Leung and flautist Michael O’Donnell will be presenting a feast of French music. This performance is like a journey that waves through time and space, guiding you to immerse in the grandeur of the Royal Palace and the ancient exotic melodies.

Travelling the World with Choral Music, by Hong Kong Inter-School Choir

Embark on a captivating musical journey around the globe with the Hong Kong Inter-School Choir! Compositions are carefully selected to showcase the unique cultural elements embedded within the melodies and rhythms of diverse nations. Through the universal language of music, you will be able to immerse yourself in the essence of each culture.

Continue to Juggle in Circus, by Hong Kong Circus
22 December 2024 (Sunday) 2:30 pm–3:00 pm | 4:30 pm–5:00 pm

Through performances of circus artistry, the Hong Kong Circus will take you on a journey through different eras of circus. Three top professional jugglers will share their difficulties and challenges of learning traditional circus skills. They will perform alongside the younger performers who are inheriting these talents. Through music and movement, the younger artists will express the emotions and memories of their predecessors, collectively conveying the essence of circus tradition to you!
